Police in New York City have discovered a human leg on Coney Island beach in Brooklyn, and authorities reportedly believe they are more body parts in the vicinity.
According to the New York Post, a recreational diver noticed what appeared to be body parts and contacted authorities, who attempted to recover the human remains on Saturday, but were unable to reach them due to poor conditions.
On Thursday, divers from the NYPD reportedly returned to the area and found a human left leg stuck in rocks near the New York Aquarium, along with a set of keys. Additional body parts were visible but the divers have been unable to retrieve them.
The search effort is expected to continue at some point this weekend, according to the New York Post.
