WWE star Jeff Hardy arrested after cops respond to reports of intoxicated person at beachfront hotel

Authorities in South Carolina confirmed WWE superstar Jeff Hardy was arrested following an incident at a hotel in downtown Myrtle Beach this week.

According to the Myrtle Beach Sun News, the 41-year-old wrestler is accused of public intoxication and was identified as the person described in a call late Saturday morning.

Police reports indicate officers responded to the Ocean Enclave by Hilton Grand Vacations shortly after 11 a.m. in response to a complaint. He was arrested without further incident, according to Cpl. Thomas Vest.

Hardy was reportedly booked into Myrtle Beach jail and could spend 30 days behind bars with a $500 fine if convicted. Court records indicate he was arrested last year near Charlotte, N.C., on suspicion of driving under the influence.

According to TMZ, he was involved in a vehicle collision and arrested after a breathalyzer test allegedly revealed he had a .25 blood-alcohol level.

In response to the most recent arrest, the WWE issued a brief statement.

“Jeff Hardy is responsible for his own personal actions,” the organization said.
