Authorities in North Carolina say actress Sonja Sohn has been arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs and paraphernalia.

According to Complex, the star of Showtime’s “The Chi” was picked up by police in that state early on Sunday morning.

Initial reports offered few details regarding the circumstances surrounding the arrest.

As TMZ reported, though, police reports indicate she is expected to face criminal charges related to possession of cocaine — a possible felony — as well as counts including possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The latter two counts are being treated as misdemeanors, police say.

Sohn was reportedly booked into jail at about 2 a.m. Sunday, supplying the required $1,500 in bail money just minutes later and walking back out.

Court records indicate the actress, also familiar to viewers of the HBO series “The Wire,” is set to be arraigned on the charges during a court hearing on Tuesday.

Her current show is facing an ongoing scandal on a different front. Actor Jason Mitchell, who portrayed the son of Sohn’s charactr on “The Chi,” was recently let go amid multiple claims of sexual misconduct.
