Mom disappears after a date. Police say she’s wanted on more than 60 charges but did NOT vanish on purpose [Cops]

A woman who disappeared earlier this month after going out on a date is apparently wanted on 66 criminal charges.

ABC7 reports that 29-year-old Erika Gaytan disappeared on July 13 after going to a concert with an unnamed man. When she failed to return home to her 7-year-old son, police interviewed the man, who claimed he last saw Gaytan at the El Paso County Coliseum. He reportedly said he left while she waited for an Uber.

Family members didn’t buy the story, claiming that Gaytan would have never taken an Uber home while out on a date and that she would have returned home to her son.

On Friday, Gaytan was scheduled to appear in court on 66 charges related to credit card abuse. According to KFOX, Gaytan is accused of making purchases under the name of Haydee Rivera and was once on El Paso’s “Most Wanted” list.

Police, however, said that they do not believe the woman’s charges played a factor in her disappearance. They also said the woman may be in danger.

Gaytan is described as a Hispanic female who stands 5-feet-4-inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds. She has brown hair, brown eyes, and a lower lip piercing.
