NEW VIDEO: Chaos, panic in popular Dayton bar targeted by mass shooter who murdered nine people, including his sister

Newlly released video shows a scene of chaos and panic after a gunman opened fire in an entertainment district in Dayton, Ohio, early Sunday morning.

The Dayton Daily News has obtained cell phone video reportedly taken inside Ned Peppers, a popular bar in the city’s Oregon District that was near the scene of the gunfire .Connor Betts, 24, was fatally shot by police near the bar’s entrance, and killed nine people before police engaged him less than a minute after he opened fire outside the bar.

The frightening video footage shows bar patrons ducking for cover and screaming during the chaos of the active shooter situation.

Betts’ 22-year-old sister Megan Betts was among the nine people killed in the massacre. Authorities have not yet released a possible motive, and it is unclear of the suspect’s sister was among his intended targets.

The deadly shooting came less than a day after a gunman opened fire at an El Paso Walmart full of back-to-school shoppers on Saturday morning. The death toll in the El Paso shooting has risen to 21, and more than two dozen people were injured.
