Missing teen girl rescued from human trafficking by officers during undercover sting

A missing California teen was rescued on Tuesday from sex trafficking during an undercover operation by Pomona police.

ABC 7 reports that plainclothes officers found the teen while conducting surveillance in the East Holt Avenue Corridor area of Pomona. Authorities said the girl was reported missing from Riverside County.

The victim’s identity is protected due to her age.

According to the Daily Bulletin, Pomona police arrested in 21 people Monday in the East Holt Avenue Corridor area for “prostitution, pimping and loitering with the intent to commit prostitution.”

The OCR reports that two 18-year-old men were arrested Friday for pimping underage children, including a 15-year-old girl in Pomona and Santa Ana, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna. Both men have been charged with human trafficking of an underage victim, pimping, and pandering with a minor.
