AMBER Alert Update: Uber driver spotted in different county after allegedly abducting tot girl [Police]

UPDATE: Uber driver charged with kidnapping as desperate search for missing tot girl continues

Investigations in connection with a Pennsylvania AMBER Alert uncovered additional information about the vehicle associated with a missing Penn Hills toddler. Allegheny police say that a black Toyota Yaris with PA plate KLW3926 traveled to the areas of Blairsville, New Alexandria, and Delmont in Westmoreland County, between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Police pulled the car over and took the Uber driver in for questioning, although the exact time authorities found her remains unclear. The little girl was not inside the car. The missing girl’s father said the driver fled with the child in a black Toyota Prius on Saturday evening.

The little girl’s family, along with the Uber driver, were questioned by Penn Hills detectives, according to Pittsburgh’s Action 4 News. No charges have been filed at this time.

Anyone who may have spotted the Yaris or the little girl in the aforementioned areas should contact the Allegheny County Police Tipline at 1-833-ALL-TIPS (1-833-255-8477).

An AMBER Alert has been issued for a Pensylvania toddler who disappeared Saturday. The FBI, as part of the Child Abduction Response Team, is helping with the search.

According to the Pennsylvania State Police, Sharena Nancy, 25, is accused of abducting 1-year-old Nalani Johnson, from Penn Hills. Nancy and her car, a 2017 black Toyota Pruis, have been found but the little girl was not inside the vehicle.

Family members said Nancy gave an Uber ride to Nalani and her father, according to News 11. When Nalani’s father got out of the car, Nancy allegedly sped away with the child still inside.

Nalani is described as a black female with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen at the intersection of Bryant and Clay Drives in Penn Hills. She was wearing a black shirt, black sandals, and a floral-designed skirt.

Allegheny County police said Nalani is of “average height and weight” for a female of her age. Nalani is a few weeks shy of her 2nd birthday.

Police said the Uber driver is not a relative of the child, although she may have been an acquaintance of family members.
