Tiffany Osborne

MISSING: Mom of newborn and two young children hasn’t been seen in over a week

Alabama authorities are searching for a woman who disappeared on February 17 and has not been seen or heard from since.

AL.com reports that the boyfriend of 30-year-old Tiffany Osborne told police that she left her Midfield home to go to the store but never returned. According to Midfield Det. Michael Jeffries, she was reported missing on Wednesday from the Fairfield Highlands area of Midfield.

Osborne is the mother of three children, including a 3-month-old baby. Family members said it’s highly unusual for Osborne to be gone this long without checking in.

“She hasn’t even reached out to check on the baby and that’s our biggest concern,’’ Jeffries said. “No one has heard from her.”

Jeffries added that there is no indication at this time of foul play, but authorities have not ruled it out.

Osborne’s mother, Cathy Smitherman, told ABC 33 that she’s terrified that something bad may have happened to her daughter.

I don’t understand why she would walk to the store when they have vehicles sitting in the yard and then not to mention the fact it was like 11 p.m. at night. I mean even if it were during the day I just don’t see her walking to the store when she has vehicles and then the fact she left her cell phone she doesn’t go anywhere without her cell phone,” Smitherman said.

Smitherman added that Osborne reportedly walked to the store without her cellphone, adding that Osborne is usually never without her phone.

“I’ve always known where she’s at, she’s always called me, and she’s always checked on her kids,” Smitherman added.

Anyone with any information on Osborne’s whereabouts is urged to contact authorities immediately.
