Newborn baby found ALIVE, stuffed in a plastic bag & hidden in woods

North Carolina authorities are currently conducting interviews and investigating after discovering a newborn baby alive in the woods.

WBTV reports that deputies responded to a call at around 2 p.m. Wednesday, close to a home in the Marshville area, off of East Highway 74. When authorities arrived, they heard a faint cry coming from the woods and discovered a baby boy in a plastic bag, hidden under leaves.

Authorities reported that the infant had recently been born. According to the Union County Sheriff’s Department, the placenta was still attached. EMS arrived and took the baby to the hospital.
