Mother suffocates second infant after ‘falling asleep.’ It’s the same way she killed first child: Police

A Pennsylvania woman reportedly fell asleep on her baby, killing him, and police say this is the second child she killed by sleeping on them.

PennLive reports that 37-year-old Rebecca Hallock is facing several felony charges in connection with the November 2019 death of her 3-week-old son. An autopsy report labeled the baby’s death as “compatible with mechanical asphyxia due to co-sleeping with parent.”

Hallock told police that she co-slept with the baby but a months-long investigation and a blood test determined that she was on meth when the baby died. Hallock also allegedly admitted to police that a similar incident happened in 2017 when she woke up to find her 1-month-old daughter (pictured right) dead, PaHomePage reports.
