MISSING: 15-year-old New Hampshire left note for parents saying she would be back soon — nearly a week ago

Authorities in New Hampshire are trying to locate a 15-year-old girl who left home on August 12.

According to the Laconia Daily Sun, Kyra Wallace left her home in Meredith on Wednesday night, leaving behind a note for her parents that she would soon be returning. Nearly a week later, she has not come back home.

Police sources told the news outlet that Kyra spoke to her mother by phone on Saturday. Her parents reportedly believe she may be staying in Laconia or Concord, both in central New Hampshire.

Kyra is described in the report as 5′ 6″ tall, weighing 165 pounds. She has long brown hair with highlights and brown eyes. She may be carrying a grey backpack and/or wearing Vans sneakers.
