California woman vanishes after visiting national park

Authorities in Utah are searching for a missing woman who has not been seen in nearly a week.

According to KSL, 38-year-old Holly Suzanne Courtier arrived via private shuttle bus to the Grotto parking area at Zion National Park in Utah at about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. She was expected to board the shuttle for a return trip at 4:40 that afternoon, but did not appear.

Social media posts reportedly indicate that Courtier lives in California.

“Courtier’s intended travel plan from the Grotto parking area is unknown and her current whereabouts are unknown,” park officials wrote in a news released obtained by KSL.

The Washington County Sheriff’s department is reportedly joining Zion National Park in the missing persons investigation and search.

Courtier is described in the report as 5’3″ tall and weighing about 125 pounds. She has brown hair with highlights and blue eyes.
