DEVELOPING: Mother in custody after little boy drowns in bathtub ‘full of water’ with laceration on his neck [Police]

A 40-year-old Pennsylvania woman is in custody for the death of her 5-year-old son, police say.

Fox 20 reports that the incident happened in Philadelphia on Monday night, off of the  4800 block of Pine Street. The child’s father came home to find the boy drowning in a bathtub full of water, with a laceration to his neck.

The mother, who was alone with the child when the incident happened, had stab wounds to her arm. Police think the wounds were self-inflicted, adding that the mother may have some mental health issues, according to ABC 6.
