‘Friend’ who cut unborn baby from Regan Hancock’s womb may have been faking a pregnancy

The suspect in the brutal killing of a pregnant woman and her unborn child may have been faking a pregnancy before the brutal murders.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Reagan Hancock died on Friday when the suspect, identified as Taylor Parker, allegedly cut Reagan’s unborn baby from her womb. Parker reportedly took the baby with her when she fled the Texas home where the victim was found. According to a police news release, Parker told a state trooper during a traffic stop that the baby was hers and wasn’t breathing. She and the baby were then transported to a hospital in Oklahoma where the baby was pronounced dead.

Hancock and Parker were previously acquainted, and Parker reportedly took photos at Hancock’s engagement and wedding last year. A friend of Hancock’s who also knew Parker reportedly told the Daily Beast that Parker had been faking a pregnancy.

According to the Daily Beast report, Hancock’s friend Abby Mathis ran into Parker a few weeks ago, and that she had appeared to be pregnant — but she may have been faking it, as there is no indication in the reports about Parker’s arrest that she is or was pregnant the day she allegedly killed the mother and child. Parker’s Facebook profile photo shows a pregnant woman, but as previously noted, it is unclear if Parker, who appears to have children of her own, is the woman in the photo or if the photo was recent.

Mathis told the Daily Beast that she asked Parker about her pregnancy when she ran into her a weeks ago.

“Have you not had that sweet baby yet?” Mathis said she asked Parker.

“No, they’re trying to keep me [pregnant] as long as they can,” Parker reportedly said.

Authorities have released very few details about the circumstances of the murder, and have not yet commented on a possible motive.

CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
