Lyft driver sexually assaults teen boy on his way home from school, police say

A Virginia Lyft driver is facing charges after a teen accused him of sexual abuse.

Fox 5 reports that the incident happened Monday when a high school boy took a Lyft ride to school in Manassas. The boy and the driver, identified as Ejaz Hussain, 58, exchanged contact information during the first ride.

Later that afternoon, the boy reportedly called Lyft for a ride home; Hussain arrived at the victim’s school, and while on the way back to the victim’s home, allegedly assaulted him. Police said the victim then walked inside his home with no reported physical injuries and told a family member what happened. The relative subsequently called law enforcement.

Police arrested Hussain and charged him with sexual battery. According to Patch, he’s being held on a $3,500 unsecured bond for one count of sexual battery.
