New York authorities are currently searching for two men who assaulted a mail carrier in the Greenpoint area of Brooklyn.

According to NYPD, the attack happened at around 6 p.m. Monday, off of McGuinness Boulevard and Nassau Avenue. The incident started with one male throwing blows with a U.S. postal carrier. Another man quickly approached on a bicycle and began attacking the mail carrier.

Authorities said the incident left the 57-year-old mail carrier with broken face bones and lacerations.

After the attack, the suspects fled southbound on McGuinness Boulevard, police said, according to Pix 11.
