No Possibilities Ruled Out In Disappearance of 5-Year-Old Boy Missing Over A Week

Authorities in Idaho are continuing to search for a missing 5-year-old boy who disappeared early last week,

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Michael Joseph Vaughan was last seen on Tuesday evening in Fruitland, Idaho; in a residential area near an open field. He was wearing a “Minecraft” T-shirt, boxer briefs, and blue flips flops. It remains unclear who, if anyone, was with him before he disappeared.

At a news conference this weekend, Fruitland police Chief J.D. Huff told residents to keep search their properties and outbuildings for signs of the missing boy. As the Associated Press reports, Fruitland Police gave another press conference on Wednesday, again urging residents to check their yards — and to come forward if they know anything at all.

“Maybe you are even afraid to reach out to us. We are here, we want to listen to what you have to say, ” Huff said.

Police have said that Michael’s parents – who call him by the nickname “Monkey” — have been fully cooperative. At this time, investigators have not ruled out any possibilities in the boy’s disappearance.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Fruitland Police at 208-642-6006, extension 0.
