Mother of Missing 3-Year-Old Boy Says She Believes He Was Abducted

Authorities in Texas are searching for a missing 3-year-old boy who vanished on Wednesday after he ran after a dog into a wooded area.

As KBTV reports, 3-year-old Christopher Ramirez was at at his Grimes County, Texas, home with his mother on Wednesday, playing with the family’s dog in the yard, when his mother lost track of him. Christopher’s mother Araceli Nunez said at a news conference Friday that she had only lost sight of him for about two minutes. While she was looking for him, she spoke to a neighbor who said she saw him running after a dog belonging to another household, in the direction of woods near his home.

“I ran fast calling his name and he never answered,” Nunez said.

Investigators have not been able to track down the little boy. And while authorities say there is no indication of foul play, the boy’s mother said at the press conference that she is worried someone has her son. Grimes County Sheriff said on Friday that police have interviewed and cleared two sex offenders in the area.

The sheriff also said the dog the boy had reportedly been chasing has returned to its owners, as CrimeOnline previously reported.

“We canvased the neighborhood yesterday. Three times. Four times. A few people had cameras on their front of their houses. We checked all of those out. Everything is fitting in place but have not found the boy. And that’s just the facts of it at this point.”
