New Surveillance Video of Missing Heidi Planck in Downtown Los Angeles Just Before She Vanished

A missing California woman was seen on surveillance video near the downtown Los Angeles high-rise where her dog was found abandoned on October 17, the last time anyone saw Heidi Planck.

As previously reported, Planck, 39, left her son’s football game at halftime on October 17, and has not been heard from since. Her dog was found in the building the same day she was last seen, but Planck was not with her pet. Planck’s cell phone was reportedly left behind in her Palms home, and her vehicle has not been found.

CBS Los Angeles has obtained security video reportedly provided by a downtown Los Angeles resident. The video shows Planck, with her dog on a leash, walking outside near the building where her dog was found later that day. It is the last known sighting of Planck.

Authorities have not yet commented on the new video and have said very little about the missing persons investigation. Police have not said whether they suspect foul play and have not named any suspects in Planck’s disappearance.

Planck works as a financial controller for Camden Capital, and a managing partner at the company, Jason Sugarman, has been under investigation for his suspected role in a $43 million fraud scheme. Planck’s ex-husband Jim Wayne claimed he received a phone call from someone at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)  on October 21, asking him questions about Sugarman. Wayne has also suggested that Planck’s disappearance could somehow be connected to the investigation.

This is a developing story. CrimeOnline will provide further updates when more information is available.
