A beautiful model is dead and her mother insists someone must have drugged her, causing the young woman to overdose.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, Christy Giles, a 24-year-old model originally from Alabama, was dumped on the sidewalk in front of Southern California Hospital in Culver City, where she died. Two hours later, her friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, an interior designer from Mexico, was dropped off at Kaiser West Los Angeles, where she remains hospitalized.
Christy’s mother, Dusty Giles, said that her daughter, who wasn’t a hard drug user, was likely raped before someone left her in front of the hospital.
“My daughters have been taught literally how to kill a person with a ballpoint pen,” Dusty Giles told the New York Post. “My daughter is a military police officer’s daughter, her father Leslie served in Iraq.”
Jan Cilliers, Giles’s husband, told KNBC that a friend told him Cabrales-Arzola and his wife hooked up with a group of men at a warehouse party.
“We assume that the way the girls got in the car with them was that they were all going to go to the after-party that everyone wanted to go to together,” Cilliers said. “And they never ended up making it there.”
“Her friends were expecting her to arrive there but for some reason, they ended up at this guy’s house and they never left alive.”

Cilliers added that he saw security footage of three men dressed in black pull up to the hospital in a Toyota Prius without license plates. The men then reportedly pushed Christy out of the vehicle and fled, according to Cilliers.
Cilliers told Fox that his wife was a recreational drug user but would never have used any hard drugs. Dusty Giles says she expects a toxicology report to show heroin in her daughter’s system or similar drugs.
“The only way that these men would have kept my daughter and Hilda for over 10 hours would be by giving them drugs, maybe tying them up,” Giles The US Sun. “I believe they drugged them to keep them and I believe they probably raped them.”
Preliminary reports by LAPD suggest that Giles died of an overdose but an official cause of death has not yet been released. Police say that they’re investigating Giles’s death and looking to see if there are other connected incidents.
“My daughter would have fought like hell and from my understanding from speaking to the emergency room doctor and nurse, they did not see any visible bruises, scratches, or any indication of an altercation,” Dusty Giles added.
