Update: Police Search Home for Girl Reported Missing Last Week, But Not Seen Since 2019

Police searched a property in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Sunday in connection to the search for a missing girl who reportedly has not been seen since 2019.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Manchester police received reports from individuals, along with the state Division of Children Youth and Families, that 7-year-old Harmony Montgomery was missing. Police said they have spoken with all available family members but would not identify which family members those were.

On Sunday, police searched a home off of Gilford Street in Manchester. They were there were several hours, according to Boston 25 News, and brought in trucks and tarps.

Harmony was last seen in October 2019 when police responded to a call, but they haven’t explained what the call was about. Manchester police Chief Allen Aldenberg told WMUR that a search at the home was in connection with Harmony’s disappearance.

“Manchester police became aware of this this week, and I know people are going to say well here it is 2021, almost 2022, and nobody has seen this young girl since late October 2019. So what has happened in the last few years? Fair question,” Aldenberg said last week. “That’s why I’m here today. Because we need assistance.”

“We need help. And we do not have many answers to many questions that we have. I don’t care if you saw this young girl a year ago and you think it’s irrelevant – call us.”

Harmony may have been enrolled in school in Massachusetts in 2019, but detectives didn’t say which school she was enrolled at. It’s also unclear where the child’s parents are at but a neighbor who lived by Harmony’s father was shocked to hear the news.

“It’s just crazy. I know everybody wants to point to him like he hurt her or something but he’s not capable of doing that he is such a good guy,” the unnamed neighbor said. “I saw him here with his other kids. He used to talk to us about his daughter a few times.

“You could tell he was really sincere about it. He told us that the mother came to the grandmother’s house they lived at and took her and never brought her back.”

She’s described as standing around 4 feet tall and weighing 50 pounds. She has blond hair and blue eyes. She is blind in her right eye and should be wearing glasses. The most recent photographs available were taken when she was 5 years old.
