Crime Stories with Nancy Grace: Murderer Released on Bond, Kills 23-year-old Summer Chester

Summer Chester died in January this year, in a hit-and-run car accident. The other driver, Jonathan Vera, ran a traffic signal. He is now charged with manslaughter in this case, but Vera is also facing other charges. Vera was arrested on capital murder charges after a deadly home invasion. He spent two years in jail, held on $250,000 bond.

In March of last year, 351st Criminal District Court Judge Natalia Cornelio lowered Vera’s bond, to $50,000. The next day Vera walked out of jail.
