Police ID Cyclist Couple Found Dead with Throats Slashed [PICTURED]

Authorities in Florida are investigating the apparent homicides of a married couple found dead with multiple stab and laceration wounds on Sunday.

As WESH reports, the victims have been identified as  Terry and Brenda Aultman, a married couple who had been riding their bikes in a residential area of Daytona Beach during Bike Week before they were found dead.

The news station published a partial transcript of a 911 call from a witness who discovered the bodies.

“We found two people possibly dead… there’s blood everywhere,” a witnesst told a 911 dispatcher Sunday morning.

As previously reported, investigators initially believed the Aultmans were the victims of a hit and run, before discoverng multiple slash wounds, including on their throats.

Police reportedly have only one suspect lead, a male wearing light-colored pants and carrying a backpack. Investigators are still looking for him. As WESH reports, police do not believe robbery was the motive, but the attack may have been random.

“This is probably one of the most vicious and gruesome incidents that I’ve witnessed in my 20 years,” Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young told reporters. “We can’t rule out that this may be totally random, but if it is totally random, the person responsible has to be deranged.”

Anyone with information is urged to contaact Detective Howell with the Daytona Beach police at 386-671-5257.
