Crime Stories with Nancy Grace: Johnny Depp/Amber Heard Sling Mud in Court

Actor Johnny Depp’s testimony continues in his $50 million defamation lawsuit again his former wife. On Tuesday, Depp testified that Amber Heard has “grossly embellished” incidents in their marriage. Depp told the court that he had never hit Heard and that her characterization of his behavior while on drugs, was inaccurate.

Depp told the court that there was “no moment where I would’ve been considered out of control” during his marriage. Depp sued Heard over an op-ed published in the Washington Post. The actress characterized herself as a domestic abuse survivor but didn’t mention Depp by name.

Depp alleged defamation because Heard’s claims covered the time they were married.
