Developing: Officer Shoots, Kills Wife’s Boyfriend at Popular Chain Restaurant [Reports]

An off-duty New York cop is dead after shooting a man and then shooting himself in what may have been a love triangle that unfolded at a popular chain restaurant over the weekend.

According to the New York Post, the incident happened at Buffalo Wild Wings in Wallkill, Orange County, on Sunday night. Although police have denied or confirmed, police sources reportedly said the shootings were a result of a tangled romantic mess between the off-duty officer, the victim, and a woman.

“Police not confirming anything at this time,” Mark Lieb of Rockland Video Productions reportedly said. “But two people covered with body bags or tarp were seen in the parking lot with cops and detectives hovering around them.”

New York Daily News reports that the officer tailed his wife and her boyfriend, who were together in another car. The officer then crashed into the car, causing the boyfriend to get out and start running. The cop reportedly chased the boyfriend before fatally shooting him. He then turned the gun on himself.
