Tamara Bell-Walker: Navy Veteran Mom Missing, Mysteriously Vanishes a Month Before Husband Found Dead

Arkansas police continue to search for a Little Rock woman who was last seen nearly three years ago, before she inexplicably vanished.

According to Arkansas Democrat-Gazzette, 45-year-old Tamara Bell-Walker was last seen on May 4, 2020, in Little Rock. Bell’s father, Calvin, reportedly said he spoke to her daily up until February 2020, when communication slowed down.

Then, on May 3, 2020, when she sent him a text message saying she was back on her medication. The Charley Project reports that Bell-Walker was diagnosed “with bipolar disorder” and uses medication to help control it.

“She would never announce she was taking her meds,” Calvin told the outlet. “I think someone else typed it. She said, ‘I took my meds. I love y’all. We alright.’”

The following day, Calvin sent a text to Bell-Walker, telling her that he was thinking of contacting the police and filing missing persons report. He said Bell replied back via text that she had dropped her phone in the bath and needed a replacement.

“I was like wait a minute, something is going on here,” he said. “I texted her on May 5 for her to call me because I needed to hear her voice.”

On May 13, 2020, Bell-Walker sent a text to her father on his birthday but failed to acknowledge it was his birthday. It’s something she would not have forgotten, Calvin said.

“That morning usually she would call me up singing me some crazy birthday song that she just made up and most of the time it’s early in the morning like 5 o’clock because she wants to be the first one to call me,” Calvin told Arkansas Online.

“I didn’t get a call so as the day went on I sent a message at 8:37 in the evening and said Tamara, I hope and pray you are well. I know that something is going on with you now because you would have called me on my birthday.”

Calvin then filed a missing persons report.

On May 29, 2020, Police located Bell’s 2014 Jeep Cherokee in Arkansas.

On June 1, 2020, police questioned Bell-Walker’s husband, Corey, who reportedly said he had been in Kentucky and had not seen Bell since May 5. He also said he feared for his life and thought someone was trying to kill him.

Four days after police contacted Corey, his vehicle was found crashed into a pole off Larch Street in Little Rock.

Police said he had multiple gunshot wounds to his chest area. Although his death was initially listed as a suicide, police have since labeled it as “undetermined.”

“The original information came from an investigator who went to the autopsy,” Pine Bluff Lieutenant David DeFoor told Arkansas Online. “Until there’s substantial evidence that it was a suicide, this will continue to be under investigation.”

Meanwhile, Bell-Walker’s son is hoping for answers that will bring their mother home.

“I just want my mother back,” he said. “I want justice for my mom.”

Bell-Walker is described as a Black female who stands 5-feet-9-inches tall and weighs around 110 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
