Developing: Body of 4-year-old Boy Pulled from Maryland Pond Hours After Reported Missing

The body of a missing Maryland child was discovered Thursday night in a Garrett County pond.

According to ABC 2, 4-year-old Piper Fox was reported missing hours before the discovery. The child’s family reportedly told the Maryland State Police that he was last on his front porch off Temperance Way at around 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

During a multi-agency search, Deep Creek Fire Department Dive Team members recovered the boy’s body from the pond at around 10:30 p.m. Police said the pond is near Piper’s home.

Fox Baltimore reports that the victim was declared at the scene. The case is under investigation.
