54-year-old Woman Arrested at Taylor Swift’s Beachfront Home, Police Say She’s a Repeat Trespasser: Report

Police arrested a woman this week outside Taylor Swift’s beachfront property in Rhode Island, who had been previously warned to stay away from the residence, according to Westerly Police Chief Paul Gingerella.

Photographs published by TMZ showed the defendant in handcuffs near the gates of the Bluff Avenue home, close to multiple “No Trespassing” signs in plain view.

Police arrested and charged the woman, identified as 54-year-old Kimberly Meyer, with one misdemeanor count of trespassing. She has since been released but is scheduled to appear in court on July 14.

Taylor Swift was reportedly staying at the house during the holiday weekend. However, it is unclear whether she was present at the time of the arrest.

The arrest comes on the heels of another alleged trespassing incident that happened earlier this year. As CrimeOnline previously reported, 36-year-old Mitchell Taebel allegedly showed up at Swift’s homes and concerts, sending intimidating messages, and posting troubling material on social media.

Prosecutors charged Taebel with stalking by threatening serious injury or death, intimidation, invasion of privacy, and harassment, according to WNDU-TV. He has pleaded not guilty.

Taebel is scheduled to appear in court again on July 27.
