Missing Georgia Girl Found SAFE in Mexico Two Years After Abduction, Greets Dad with Hugs at Airport

A 6-year-old Georgia girl who vanished from Smyrna in 2021 has been found safe in Mexico.

According to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, police say Majesty Williams was located Saturday in San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Police arrested the child’s mother, 34-year-old Andrea McCord, and McCord’s boyfriend, Custodio Guerra.

McCord allegedly abducted Majesty on April 1, 2021, while the child’s father, James Williams, was outside working in the yard. After she fled in Williams’ car with Majesty, McCord later sent Williams a text, telling him she left his car at a nearby grocery store, according to what he told police.

NCMEC said that a joint effort with the Smyrna Police Department and the U.S. Marshals Service led to Majesty’s whereabouts. Williams greeted his daughter at the Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in Atlanta on Sunday and hugged her.

“I am incredibly grateful and overjoyed to be reunited with my daughter. I want to thank the Smyrna Police Department, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, and the U.S. Marshals for everything they did to find Majesty,” Williams said following the reunion with Majesty.

“Words cannot express how happy I am to have my daughter back home. Majesty is doing well, and I kindly ask the media for privacy at this time.”

The defendants were arrested for ” Interstate Interference with Child Custody,” according to NCMEC. They’re expected to be extradited back to the US to face charges.

Anyone with information on a missing child is urged to contact local police or call NCMEC at 1-800-843-5678 (1-800-THE-LOST).
