BOLO: Missing North Carolina Woman’s Phone Last Pinged Boyfriend’s Home, Family Says

Family and friends say a missing North Carolina woman has not been seen in weeks and are worried about her safety.

According to The North Carolina Beat, Allisha Watts, 39, was last seen July 16 after her phone pinged at her boyfriend James Dunmore’s home in Charlotte. Her sister, Shakeeta Utley, said she has not been seen since then.

Utley added that they have gone public about Watts’ disappearance after Charlotte police “took too long to give them answers.”

Utley added that police took Dunmore into custody but the family doesn’t know why and doesn’t know if the pair were having any relationship issues. Police reportedly now have Watts’ phone.

Watts’ friend, Learen Blue, said Watts is an important member of the community who volunteers for several organizations in the community, WRAL reports.

“She’s a vital piece of the community as afar as she’s involved in several organizations in our community,” Blue said. “She gives back, she gives up her time. She gives her heart. She gives anything that she’s knows a person needs, she willingly, freely gives.”

“This has been a week of pure torture. We just need help to bring her back.”

Utlet added that Watts owns the “Inspired Visions” mental health business and is asking anyone with information about her whereabouts to get in touch or contact police immediately.

This is a developing story and will be updated as additional information becomes available. Check back for updates.
