Kaitlin Armstrong Trial: Video Evidence Shows Accused Killer’s Boyfriend Dropping off Beloved Cyclist Before Her Death

Kaitlin Armstrong’s murder trial resumed Friday morning at the Travis County court with prosecutors calling Daniel Sheer to the stand.

Sheer, according to police, lives near the Austin apartment complex where professional cyclist Moriah “Mo” Wilson was found murdered. As CrimeOnline previously reported, on May 11, 2022, Armstrong allegedly shot and killed Wilson while Wilson stayed at friend Caitlin Cash’s apartment during a cycling event in the Austin area.

Sheer testified that police left a card at his door following Wilson’s murder, requesting access to his security footage. Sheer, according to NewsNationNow, didn’t know at the time that someone had been killed.

Jurors watched the video Friday morning, which showed a motorcycle passing by Sheer’s home on the night of May 11, 2022. Investigators said that Colin Strickland was operating the motorcycle and security footage captured him dropping Wilson off.

Later that night, Armstrong is believed to have killed Wilson after thinking she slept with Strickland, who allegedly went swimming and out to dinner with Wilson before she was killed. He also allegedly disguised her name in his phone to keep Armstrong from knowing he was communicating with her.

Strickland acknowledged to detectives on May 12, 2o22, that he had dropped Wilson off the previous night at Cash’s apartment. He denied that he was in a romantic relationship with the victim, claiming that they had briefly dated in 2021 but became platonic friends after he returned to his relationship with the defendant.

Text messages, however, reportedly indicated that Wilson believed she and Strickland were still linked romantically.

Armstrong pleaded not guilty. If convicted, she could face up to 99 years in prison.

The trial continues. Check back for updates.
