‘Momma was in blood’: 2-year-old Says Missing Georgia Mother Was Last Seen ‘Laying in blood’

Police in Georgia say a 2-year-old child saw her missing mother covered in blood before she vanished in Bibb County last month.

According to ABC 13, Gabriella Dixon, 18, was last seen on October 30 in the 1900 block of Pinehill Drive, in Macon. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said police found evidence that foul play may be involved.

Dixon’s boyfriend and the father of her children, Reginald Harris, is now behind bars on unrelated outstanding charges that include assault, family violence, and terroristic threats. He has not been charged in connection with Dixon’s disappearance.

Dixon’s father, Reggie Dixon, said he last spoke to his daughter on October 27, after Dixon moved into a new apartment in Macon. Dixon’s mother, Gabi Searcy, saw her in person briefly on October 29 when Dixon picked her children up from Searcy’s home.

“She was really excited about moving into her place,” Reggie said. “I had took her to her new apartment to move in more stuff into her new apartment she had just got.”

On October 30, Dixon reportedly dropped her children off with Harris. She hasn’t been seen since then, her father said. Harris later dropped the children with Searcy.

“The daddy had brought the kids back over there [to Searcy’s home],” Reggie said, adding that Dixon’s 2-year-old daughter told her grandmother that “she saw her mother laying in blood.”

According to 41NBC, a police report indicated that the child told police that, “Momma was in blood.” Dixon’s older child then told the 2-year-old that Dixon was sleeping.

“The older grandchild told the 2-year-old that, ‘It was okay, Momma is sleeping.”

One of the responding deputies noted that he had interactions with Dixon before and advised to get a temporary restraining order on Harris.

Both Dixon and Harris were not at the apartment when deputies arrived. The apartment manager said that Harris had “just left several minutes prior,” before deputies arrived.

“Nothing was disturbed inside the apartment and there was no indication that a crime had been committed at this location,” the report continued.

Dixon is described as a Black female who stands 5 feet 1 inch tall and weighs around 144 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500 or the Macon Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-877-68CRIME.
