Missing: ‘Childlike and vulnerable’ Former Model Vanishes in Florida

A former model with reported mental health issues disappeared from a treatment facility in Pensacola on Tuesday, according to WEAR.

Security footage captured 24-year-old Isabel Lawson at a Circle K convenience store at Cervantes Street and N Davis Highway in Pensacola, where she was asking people to give her a ride Wednesday afternoon.

“She is being tracked. We could see the direction she is going in,” her father,  Lance Lawson, said, adding that she was then spotted at a Mobile gas station in Alabama on Thursday, talking to a homeless man.

The Shepherds Team, identified as an anti-trafficking group, told WEAR that they spoke with the homeless man Thursday, but no information has led to Isabel’s whereabouts.

DailyMail reports that Isabel’s mother said Isabel has a “childlike mentality” and battles with mental health issues.

Lawson said that Isabel moved to Los Angeles for a modeling career, where she became addicted to drugs. She subsequently checked into the rehabilitation facility.

She’s been sober for six months and doesn’t have her phone or identification with her, family members added.

She’s originally from Santa Rosa, California, and reportedly doesn’t know anyone in the Pensacola area.

“We thought she might try to go to South Florida. It’s like she’s trying to make her way back to Los Angeles,” Lawson said. “Los Angeles is not a good place for her to be, but I know she is there. I don’t know, I just want to know where she is.”

“She just needs help.”

Isabel is described as a white female who stands 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs around 110 pounds. She has brown hair and blue eyes.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to contact 911 immediately or The Shepherds at (929) 346-3663.
