BOLO: Virginia Suspect Follows Elderly Woman Home and Brutally Assaults Her, ON THE RUN

Virginia Beach police are asking for public tips following an incident Monday in which a man followed an elderly woman home and brutally assaulted her.

According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, the incident started at a store in the 400 block of Putnam Road. The suspect, driving a “white 4-door Buick sedan with a spare tire on the rear driver’s side,” followed the victim inside a store before following her to a parking lot while making improper comments.

“The man followed the woman throughout the store she was shopping in. He then followed her out of the store, making lewd comments to her in the parking lot,” police said on Facebook. “Unbeknownst to her, the man followed her home and assaulted her at her front door.”

Although Virginia Beach police didn’t specify which store the suspect and victim were in, still images indicate that it appears to be a grocery or drug store.

Police described the suspect as a Black male who wearing jeans, boots, and a long-sleeved red shirt. He was also wearing glasses and a black hair covering.
