‘Not f****** going!’ Accused Child Killer Refuses to Attend Court in Harmony Montgomery Murder Trial After Strip Search

Accused child killer Adam Montgomery, who’s facing murder charges in connection with his daughter, Harmony, refused to attend court Thursday after being asked to undergo a strip search, officials say.

According to a memorandum obtained by The Docket, Montgomery refused to attend opening statements at the Hillsborough Superior Court, after being required to undergo a strip search by a corrections officer at the NH State Prison’s Secure Housing Unit.

Montgomery, apparently questioning why he had to be searched at the prison and then again at the court, said, “I’m not fu***** going,” to the officer who asked him to go into a holding cell for the search. The incident marks the second day in a row that Montgomery has refused to appear in court.

He refused to show up in person for the hearing Wednesday but said via teleconference that he intends to confess to two of the lesser charges: falsifying physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.

Montgomery is currently facing charges of second-degree murder, assault, and related offenses.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, Montgomery, 33, is accused of murdering Harmony Montgomery, 5, by repeatedly striking her in the head with a closed fist. Although she hasn’t been located, officials declared her deceased, following testimony from Montgomery’s former wife, Kayla Montgomery.

“Adam was extremely upset that 5-year-old Harmony was not saying when she needed to go to the bathroom and was having accidents in the car,” investigators said Kayla told them, according to an arrest affidavit released last year.

“Kayla stated that after each accident, Adam would get upset and would strike Harmony in the face or head with a closed fist.”

The incident reportedly happened on December 7, 2019, while Harmony, the defendant, Kayla, and the couple’s other children lived in Chrysler Sebring after an apartment eviction. According to Kayla’s testimony, they typically parked in Manchester’s Colonial Apartments parking lot.

While Montgomery drove the vehicle, he allegedly turned his body and repeatedly struck Harmony’s face and head with closed fists while she sat in the rear passenger side. He continued to hit her until he became concerned after the final blow, the affidavit read.
