BOLO: Purple Alert Issued for Florida Woman, Police Find Vehicle Abandoned

Tampa police issued a Purple Alert for a missing Florida woman who hasn’t been seen since Sunday.

Kiyunii Myers, 26, reportedly made statements that concerned her family before disappearing, the Tampa Free Press reported. Police located her car Monday morning, abandoned in Ballast Point Park.

A Florida Purple was subsequently issued, following information from family members.

The Florida Purple Alert is used to assist in the location of missing adults suffering from a mental or cognitive disability that is not Alzheimer’s disease or a dementia-related disorder,” Tampa police said.

“[Or] an intellectual disability or a developmental disability; a brain injury; other physical, mental or emotional disabilities that are not related to substance abuse; or a combination of any of these and whose disappearance poses a credible threat of immediate danger or seriously bodily harm.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Tampa Police at 813-231-6130 so we can help reunite her with her concerned family.

This is a developing story and will be updated as additional information becomes available. Check back for updates.
