Florida Man Beats Girlfriend’s 5-Year-Old for Watching ‘PAW Patrol’: Police

A Florida man is behind bars after allegedly beating a child for watching a show he said was “for girls.”

According to Fox News Digital, 36-year-old Keyyun Bryant is facing felony child abuse after he allegedly walked into a room and began hitting his girlfriend’s 5-year-old son, who was watching a cartoon about a team of animated search and rescue dogs.

The incident happened in 2022 at the girlfriend’s home in Miami’s Liberty City neighborhood.

Bryant later told investigators that he was taking care of his girlfriend’s children while she worked. He claimed he was innocent and said the victim’s father falsely accused him of abuse during a previous incident.

The victim told investigators with the University of Miami’s Child Protection team that Bryant scratched him and  “wrapped both his hands around his neck and told him he was going to take him to jail,” Local News 10 reports.

Bryant is currently behind bars at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
