The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office announced Saturday that they arrested the mother of a missing Oak Creek girl on a felony charge.
FOX 6 Milwaukee reports that the mother faces a charge of “interfering with child custody – other parent,” although formal charges have not yet been filed, according to the MCSO.
The 13-year-old was located safe Friday after being missing for nearly a week. Her location when found has not been revealed.
She was last seen on March 1 as she left her Oak Creek home, heading to a skate park on Drexel Avenue. Officials reported that her cellphone pinged about a mile away at Pennsylvania and Forest Hill.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, family members said she lives with her father and grandmother, while her mother lives elsewhere.
The story is developing.
