Tepe Murders: New Charges Filed Against Accused Killer Surgeon, Behind Bars for Double Slayings

Michael McKee, a Chicago-area surgeon accused of murdering his former wife Monique Tepe, and her husband, Spencer Tepe, is now facing additional charges.

According to The Columbus Dispatch, a Franklin County, Ohio, jury indicted on four courts of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated burglary on Friday.

Court records indicated that McKee is accused of killing the couple with an automatic firearm or silencer.

Investigators previously stated that “three 9mm shell casings” were found at the crime scene, FOX News Digital reports.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, McKee is accused of killing the Tepe couple on December 30, nearly ten years after his split from Monique. The Tepes were a few weeks shy of their fifth anniversary when McKee fatally shot them at around 3:52 a.m., according to police.

After killing the couple in the upstairs area of the Columbus, Ohio, home, McKee fled in a vehicle that helped police match him to the scene, according to law enforcement.

Security footage obtained from the couple’s Weinland Park neighborhood showed a man that investigators believed to have been McKee, in the area between 2 a.m. to 5 a.m., on the morning in question.

An affidavit indicated that McKee likely carried out the murders at 3:52 a.m.

Under Ohio law, a burglary charge includes trespassing “in an occupied structure,” which doesn’t have to include taking something from the home.

A court date is pending. Check back for updates.
