Tepe Murders: Court Date Scheduled for Surgeon Accused of Killing Ex & Her New Husband

Michael McKee, an Illinois man accused of killing his former wife, Monique Tepe, and her husband, Spencer Tepe, will be back in court this month.

According to The Columbus Dispatch, McKee, 39, is scheduled to appear in Ohio’s Franklin County Common Pleas Court on April 16.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, McKee is currently facing two counts of aggravated murder, along with aggravated burglary.

He’s accused of killing the Tepe couple inside their Columbus home on December 30. Two young children were found inside the home, physically unharmed.

It’s unclear if McKee will appear before the judge in April. It’s also unclear whether the discovery process will be completed by the next hearing, according to the Dispatch.

Investigators linked McKee to the murders through neighborhood security footage in the Tepe’s Columbus neighborhood.

Police found the couple fatally shot inside their residence after a family friend became concerned when Spencer Tepe failed to show up to his Athens dental practice.

Investigators later linked his vehicle to the crime scene and found a firearm in his Rockford apartment that matched shell casings found at the scene.
