Bloody Glove and Rock Discovered Near Home of Missing Nancy Guthrie

An anonymous couple found what could br possible evidence in disappearance of Nancy Gutherie, an 84-year-old Arizona woman who has been missing for weeks.

On February 11, the couple had been at Campbell Avenue in the Catalina Foothills of Tucson, less than a mile from the neighborhood of Nancy Gutherie, when they found what appeared to be a ripped, bloody glove, according to KVOA.

“Sure enough it was a black glove in the desert. It appeared to have looked like it was ripped,” the wife said.

“It also appeared to look like it had blood on it. The blood appeared to be towards the wrist side of the glove and on the pointer finger. It looked like this was like used for something that could’ve possibly been what they were looking for.”

The couple reportedly found a second glove located about 10 feet from their first find. They also noticed what they believed were blood droplets on a rock.

The couple feared the impending forecasted rain might destroy possible evidence and called 911.

“And also from the glove it looked like a blood drop on a rock underneath the glove was like dried blood or something. We didn’t move it or touch it. We immediately were like we have to do something. So I was like, ‘I will call the sheriff department,'” the husband said.

Law enforcement questioned the couple and allowed them to leave while they remained on site until approximately 2 a.m.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department has not confirmed if the gloves the couple found are among those that are being tested and processed.

“We cannot confirm at this time. Detectives and agents have collected multiple gloves from the area and analysis is part of the investigation.”

As CrimeOnline previously reported, investigators believe someone took Nancy Guthrie, identified as the mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie, against her will from her Catalina Foothills home.

She was last seen on January 31 after family members dropped her off at home, following dinner. They reported her missing the following day, when she failed to show up for church.

KOVA reported that hundreds of calls come in daily to the Sheriff’s 911 Communications Center.

The department has received over 32,000 calls between February 1 through February 19.
