Woman decapitates boyfriend, then asks cops to ‘let me get my heads’: Report

On Monday, a judge ordered a mental evaluation for a West Virginia woman accused of beheading her boyfriend.

West Virginia MetroNews reports that the body of Bo Allen White, 29, was found inside his Lerona home on April 1. The newspaper noted that a gag order had been put in place which prevented media from reporting details about the incident for several days.

Officers were reportedly called to a nearby residence that day following reports of a suspicious person in the driveway. There, they discovered Roena Cheryl Mills, 41—covered in blood and wearing one glove—who claimed that she was attacked and thrown through a glass window, according to WVNews

WVNS reported that Mills became combative and was taken into custody. At one point, the woman allegedly told officers, “you have to take me back and let me get my heads.”

Later that day, investigators reportedly received a call about a murder on Clover Lane. Responding police reportedly found White’s decapitated body, and the second glove, in the Clover Lane residence; they claimed they also located part of White’s body where Mills was arrested was hours earlier.

Employees at Southern Regional Jail revealed to the news station that Mills was talking about killing someone following her arrest.

While Mills has been charged with second-degree murder, Mercer County Prosecuting Attorney George Sitler explained to MetroNews how that could change based on the grand jury’s findings.

He told MetroNews, “Even though she’s only been initially charged with second-degree murder because there was some initial doubt about premeditation, [the] grand jury could certainly indict her for first-degree murder.”

Mills is being held in the Southern Regional Jail on $210,000 bond.
