New R. Kelly accuser says he intentionally gave her an STD, corroborates ‘sex cult’ claims

Another woman has come forward to accuse R. Kelly or trying to “groom” her as part of an alleged sex cult — and she also claims he knowingly gave her a sexually transmitted disease.

According to the Washington Post, an unidentified woman claims that Kelly held her against her will in 2017, plying her with booze and drugs, and intentionally giving her an STD. The woman, who was 19 at the time. The woman’s attorney reportedly said that she plans to file a civil complaint against the R&B star, and that she has also filed a complaint with police in Dallas, where the alleged assault took place.

The attorney, Lee Merritt, said in a statement to the Washington Post that Kelly allegedly infected his client with an STD after a concert in Dallas, and that Kelly allegedly coerced her to join what has been previously alleged as a sex cult. The relationship reportedly ended in February.

“[O]ur client was the victim of several forms of criminal misconduct by Kelly, including, but not limited to, unlawful restraint, furnishing alcohol and illegal drugs to a minor, and aggravated assault (via the referenced intentional STD infection),” Merrit’s statement reads in part.

“These offenses occurred while our client was being groomed to join Kelly’s sex cult. Kelly gradually introduced the cult to our client over the course of their relationship, culminating with an explanation that she would have to sign a contract and offer collateral information about herself and her family for Kelly’s protection.”

“As Kelly’s predatory, controlling and abusive behavior evolved, our client abruptly ended their relationship in February of 2018.”

As CrimeOnline previously reported, multiple women have claimed they were kept under Kelly’s control in residences where he kept women “as pets,” according to one of Kelly’s former girlfriends.

Last year, Buzzfeed published an investigative story about R. Kelly’s alleged “sex cult,” reporting at the time that six women were believed to be under Kelly’s control at his high-security homes, required to ask his permission to go out, eat, or even use the bathroom. All six of these women are believed to be over 18 years old.

The parents of one of the women still inside the alleged sex cult told Buzzfeed that R. Kelly had preyed on their daughter — gaining her trust by promising to help launch her own career — and was holding her against her will. But the woman later recorded a video from within one of Kelly’s residences, insisting that she was not being brainwashed.

Kelly secretly married singer Aaliyah in 1994 when she was just 15 years old and Kelly was 27. They allegedly falsified a marriage certificate to say that Aaliyah was 18. In the early 2000s, Kelly was charged with multiple counts of child pornography after sex tapes of Kelly appearing to be with underage girls emerged, and another alleged victim said Kelly impregnated her at age 16 and then pressured her to have an abortion.

In 2008, Kelly want on trial for child pornography charges related to a tape allegedly showing him in a sexual act with a 14 year-old-girl. The jury ultimately found him not guilty.
