Mom leaves 4-year-old daughter home alone all night to go party: Police

An Arizona mother is facing felony child abuse charges for allegedly leaving her 4-year-old daughter home alone all night while she partied.

AZ Central reported that the child knocked on a neighbor’s door at around 6:30 a.m. Sunday and said her mother, Alexandra Rose Ciliento, 29, wasn’t home. The neighbor reportedly told police that they waited for Ciliento for 45 minutes and called 911 when she didn’t show.

According to AZ Family, police eventually got Ciliento’s phone number from the child’s father. Court documents obtained by the outlet stated that she told officers that she left the home at about 11 p.m. Saturday “to go to the entertainment district in south Scottsdale.”

“She remained there the entire night,” the probable cause statement alleged.

“No plan was set in place to have the child watched by a family member or guardian. Nor was any attempt made to secure a babysitter. The defendant was not aware that her child could open a locked door and leave the residence.”

Court documents obtained by AZ Family stated that police believe the Arizona mother is an alcoholic.

The 4-year-old is in the custody of her father and Ciliento is barred from seeing her, according to KSAZ. She’s due back in court on October 8.
