‘Bachelor’ Chris Soules drinking before deadly hit and run? Reality star has previous criminal record

Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fatal hit and run involving former Bachelor star Chris Soules on Monday night. And E! News reveals that the reality star known as “Prince Farming” has a history of alcohol-related convictions.

As Crime Online previously reported, Soules was arrested Monday night following a crash between his Chevy truck and a John Deer tractor. The driver of the tractor, Kenneth Mosher, was killed, and Soules reportedly left the scene of the accident.

According to E! News, Soules was apprehended at his home in Arlington, Iowa, several hours after the fatal crash.

According to People magazine, police found alcohol containers in his car, but Soules has not been charged with driving under the influence at this time. The Buchanan Sheriff’s Department is still investigating the accident.

E! News reports that Soules previously served 60 days in jail and a year of probation after being arrested for Operating While Intoxicated in 2005. In 2001, Soules was reportedly arrested twice for minor possession of alcohol.

DUI or no, Soules will be facing a felony charge for fleeing the scene of the crash.

“What it looks like right now, he is facing what is called a Class D felony, which is leaving the scene of an accident causing death,” legal expert Troy Slaten told E! News.

“Leaving the scene of an accident causing death is, in and of itself, a felony.”
