VIDEO: Disgruntled neighbor pulls the plug on bounce house with kids inside

Surveillance cameras supposedly caught a Port St. Lucie, Florida, man deflating a bounce house during a 1-year-old girl’s birthday party.

On Sunday evening, the unidentified man was seen entering the backyard, deflating the attraction, and walking across the street. More than a dozen toddlers were in the house at the time. Fortunately, all the children were saved by parents and adults in attendance, according to WCAU.

WPBF reported that two kids were taken to the hospital in connection with Sunday’s incident. However, none of the partygoers were seriously injured.

“Chaos. Absolute chaos,” Glenn Hunt, the birthday girl’s godfather, told TODAY. “Some of the kids were crying. One of them actually was kind of traumatized by the incident. Another one when he was being removed, his leg got a little injured.”

Port St. Lucie Police Department Master Sgt. Frank Sabol told TODAY that they believe the man was unhappy with the music being played at the party and intended to unplug the DJ’s sound system.

According to the Miami Herald, the birthday girl’s mother, Deborah Romero, claimed she installed the cameras last year after someone cut the cord to her Christmas lights.

Authorities allegedly attempted to question the man but he was uncooperative. Though the man’s wife declined to speak with TODAY about the ordeal, she revealed that her husband has hired a lawyer to offer cops his side of the story.

“I was appalled,” the girl’s godfather continued.

“I was absolutely appalled that somebody would have the nerve. Don’t take matters into your own hands and cause harm to other individuals, especially children.”

Police said the neighbor is possibly facing trespassing charges.
