College student offers chicken Alfredo, Sprite for sex with underage boy: Cops

An Ohio man was arrested on suspicion of offering chicken Alfredo and Sprite in exchange for sex with a 15-year-old boy who turned out to be an undercover officer.

Albert Maruna IV, a student at Youngstown State University, allegedly reached out to an officer posing as a child on a dating app. Police claimed the officer told Maruna, 22, several times that he was 15-years-old but Maruna responded that he didn’t believe in age, according to WKBN.

“Age is a number I believe…I don’t believe in age…I’m OK if you [sic] OK with me,” he wrote to the undercover officer, according to vindy.com.

WFMJ reported that Maruna is also accused of sending the teen several nude photos of himself in texts and through the dating app. Police said the 22-year-old quickly developed feelings for the boy, calling him his “one and only” and saying that he wanted to be his future husband.

The pair allegedly agreed to meet in Austintown on Tuesday, with Maruna saying that he would bring chicken Alfredo, Sprite, and lubrication. WKBN reported that Maruna also requested that the teen wear a jock strap during their first meeting.

Police said the suspect was arrested upon arriving at the meeting spot. Officers found him in possession of an iPhone, a computer, three zip drives, a bottle of Astroglide, Vaseline lotion, two bottles of Sprite, and chicken Alfredo in a Tupperware container, according to the station.

During an interview with police, Maruna allegedly said he didn’t believe having sex with a 15-year-old was wrong.

The YSU student was charged with importuning, possessing criminal tools, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, and disseminating matter harmful to juveniles. He reportedly appeared in court on Wednesday morning.
