**FOUND SAFE**: Alert canceled for teen girl who vanished near hotel

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) had canceled their statewide Missing Child Alert for 17-year-old Carla Lise, WFLA reported. Officials have said the case has been resolved and provided no further details.

ORIGINAL STORY: 

Police in Florida are asking for the public’s help in locating a teen girl from Highlands County who they believe is in the Tampa area.

WKRG reported that Carla Lise, 17, has been missing from Sebring for a week as of Sunday. Police said she was last seen April 29 at the Quality Inn on US Highway 27 in Sebring.

Originally considered a runaway, the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office said emerging information has led them to believe she’s possibly in danger.

Lise is 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes, and is possibly wearing glasses.

This is an ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding Carla Lise’s whereabouts is urged to call the Highlands County Sheriff’s Office at 863-402-7200.
