MISSING: Mom flees with 2 kids after learning infant son tested positive for drugs, police say

Police in California are searching for a mother who reportedly fled with her 11-month-old son and 2-year-old daughter after the infant tested positive for drugs.

KTXL reports that mother Tina Baiz took Zeke to Rideout Memorial Hospital Wednesday for a medical emergency. With his IV still in, Baiz reportedly took her son from the hospital upon learning that he tested positive for drugs.

In addition to Baiz and Zeke, Yuba City police are looking for Baiz’s 2-year-old daughter. A police spokesperson told KXTV that an AMBER Alert wasn’t issued because the person believed to have taken the children is a custodial parent.

Baiz was described as being 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing 145 pounds.

Anyone with information about this case can call the Yuba City Police Department at 530-822-4661.
