Naked exerciser at Planet Fitness says he thought gym was ‘judgment-free zone’: Cops

Police said a naked man at a New Hampshire Planet Fitness claimed he stripped down because he thought it was a “judgment-free zone.” He was found in possession of marijuana paraphernalia, according to authorities.

The Eagle Tribune reported that Eric Stagno, 34, entered the Plaistow gym, removed his clothes, and paced back and forth before settling down on a yoga mat. Police said responding officers arrived at the scene to find Stagno naked and on his knees in a “yoga-type position.”

Police Captain Brett Morgan explained how a naked Stagno appeared unbothered as he checked himself out in the mirror and got into yoga poses in front of a horrified, crowded gym.

“Some of the comments some witnesses gave were that they felt uncomfortable, disgusted, sick, and unsafe,” he said, according to The Boston Globe. “There were more witnesses coming forward than we could take names.”

Morgan also said Stagno was found with marijuana paraphernalia but said it’s unclear whether he was under the influence at the time.

The only thing Stagno reportedly told officers is that he thought Planet Fitness was a “judgment-free zone.” Despite this, the New Hampshire man was arrested and charged with indecent exposure/lewdness and disorderly conduct.

Morgan quipped, “It’s not a clothing-free zone.”
